The Pad - Exercise 3

By Nate Brown

Timing triplets correctly can be difficult when they're surrounded by straight sixteenth notes or eighth notes. Take note of the difference in feel that #1 and #2 have compared to the rest of the exercises in this PDF. The first two exercises are all eighth-note triplets. The remaining exercises surround the triplets with sixteenth notes or eighth notes. I recommend practicing these along with a metronome to ensure you're playing in time.
